I love to watch commercials in the TV. And some of the commercials aired back in India during my childhood days still remain so fresh even after many years. I believe that a good commercial will first touch your heart and when it does that..then the product stays in your head whether you have tried it or not.
The other day, I was watching a classic Haggan daz commercial. I do not think there is anybody who doesn’t like ice creams, but watching this commercial will just tempt even that person to jump in for one scoop of deliciousness. The commercial is so simple, but very fresh and captivating. At the end of the commercial, they say, “The beauty of Haggan daz is in the things that we put in, but also the things that we leave out”. How cool is that??? It makes you think about the ingredients and flavors that makes this ice cream creamy and delicious, but it also helps you appreciate all those other flavors they have left out which would have contradicted the best.
While watching that, I heard someone whispering to me..”Are you thankful about all those flavors that I have left out in your life?” That made me think about everything that He has given me and everything that He has left out to make my life this beautiful and flavorful.
Most of the time, we thank God for the things that we have…we appreciate the things that we enjoy…and we forget about the things that would have spoiled the beauty of our current life, if they were allowed to mix with the present.
There are some ingredients, flavors and textures that would have contradicted the life that you currently enjoy. And so with very careful attention, God added few of them in right amounts and completely left out some others to make you what you are right now.
So today I encourage you to enjoy the beauty of what HE has put in and be thankful for everything that HE has left out.

Good message! And isn’t it wonderful that he know exactly what it takes in our life to work out the perfect plan that he ordained long before we were born? The good and the bad are both weaved into his plan to be used for a divine purpose for those who love him. That should give you peace knowing that if God allows it, it is an ingredient in the plan!
